About Lexipol
At Lexipol, our mission is to create safer communities and empower the individuals on the front lines with market-leading content and technology. Our top-notch team works closely with law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, and local government professionals to tailor our solutions to better address today’s challenges and keep first responders coming home safely at the end of each shift.
Working at Lexipol means making a difference – day in and day out.
The Work:
Lexipol is seeking a Director of Product Management to own the Wellness product end to end — strategy, roadmap, commercial performance, and execution. You will be accountable for where this product goes over the next several years and for whether it gets there. You will report to the Vice President of Product Management.
This role demands range. You will set strategy grounded in real market analysis and take new offerings to market, while staying close enough to the software to ensure it gets built well. You will lead a technical product owner who writes the stories and works day to day with engineering, and you are accountable for their success, not just their output. You will also manage a product that is software, content, and services at once, which means the roadmap has to account for release cycles, content development, certification programs, and partner delivery together rather than as separate tracks.
Above all, this role requires staying close to the customer, and the people who need this product most are often the least likely to tell you so. It is demanding work, and it is some of the most rewarding available anywhere. Most product managers never get to see their decisions land in someone’s life as plainly as you will here.
Key Performance Objectives:
Product Strategy & Market Analysis
• Define and own a multi-year strategy for Wellness — where to invest, where to partner, where to decline, and how it strengthens the broader Lexipol platform.
• Conduct rigorous market analysis — sizing, segmentation, and competitive landscape — and translate it into a defensible view of where the product should go.
• Build business cases for new offerings and major investments, including revenue model, expected impact, and how success will be measured.
• Track the regulatory, funding, and cultural shifts affecting how agencies approach wellness, and position the product ahead of them.
Go-to-Market & Commercial Ownership
• Own go-to-market strategy for new offerings and major releases, from positioning through launch readiness and post-launch performance.
• Own pricing and packaging across the portfolio, including how software, content, certification, and services are bundled and sold.
• Partner with product marketing, and equip sales and customer success with the messaging and evidence they need to win and retain business.
• Own revenue, retention, and expansion performance, and represent the product in customer conversations, user groups, and industry events.
Customer Insight & Advocacy
• Run continuous discovery across every audience this product serves — wellness coordinators, command staff, peer support teams, clinicians, and responders.
• Use engagement analytics to see what people actually use and where they drop off, especially among the personnel who need the product most.
• Learn without compromising anonymity, and advocate when priorities drift.
Software Product Direction
• Own the roadmap for both the wellness mobile app and the web-based Wellness Console, holding a high bar for each of their very different users.
• Hold the bar on requirements quality. Your technical product owner carries day-to-day story writing while you stay engaged through delivery.
• Own privacy, anonymity, and data handling as product features, not constraints.
• Make informed technical and platform trade-offs, and find where AI can improve resource discovery without eroding confidentiality.
Content & Services Portfolio
• Own a strategic roadmap for wellness content — what we cover, how it stays current, and how it reaches the right person at the right moment.
• Partner with clinical subject matter experts and content teams to ensure resources are credible, current, and culturally competent for public safety.
• Own product direction for peer support and clinician certification, including how it integrates with the app directory and console.
• Manage the partner ecosystem from a product perspective, including partner selection, integration, and ongoing evaluation of the value each delivers.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution
• Lead and develop a technical product owner, coaching on requirements quality, backlog health, and partnership with engineering.
• Take responsibility for their success by giving them the context and prioritization to get requirements right, and by clearing blockers from their path.
• Act as the connective tissue across engineering, design, content, clinical, marketing, sales, customer success, and partners.
• Sequence a roadmap spanning software releases, content development, certification, and partner delivery, and hire as the team grows.
Required Qualifications:
• 6–10 years of product management experience, including full ownership of a product or product line and its commercial performance.
• Demonstrated success taking products to market — you have launched something, owned its positioning and pricing, and been accountable for the result.
• Strong product strategy and market analysis skills, with the ability to build a defensible investment case from research rather than intuition.
• Technical fluency to work credibly with engineering on architecture and delivery.
• Experience managing an offering that extends beyond software — content, services, certification, training, or partner-delivered components.
• Genuine customer-centricity, shown through a discovery practice you ran yourself.
• Experience managing a technical product owner or product manager, including accountability for delivery through someone else.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with wellness, behavioral health, mental health, or digital health products.
• Direct connection to the first responder community, whether through prior service, family, or professional work supporting public safety.
• Experience with privacy-sensitive products where trust is a design constraint.
• Experience with B2B2C models where the buyer and the end user differ.
Employee Value Proposition:
• Full ownership of a market-leading product with room to grow.
• Impact you can see rather than infer. Agencies report reduced stigma, stronger peer support, and in some cases fewer suicides.
• Customers and partners who treat you as a peer rather than a vendor.
• A collaborative, remote-first environment with flexibility across US time zones.
Compensation and Benefits:
Lexipol offers a competitive base salary, annual incentive, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with company match and flexible paid time off.
We are targeting base salary of $160,000 and higher, depending on experience, plus annual bonus.
